Go Green Philippines appoints Richard Gutierrez as one of their advocacy ambassador in their ongoing environment program that aims to revitalize the Philippine ecosystem and sustain the Philippine fashion accessories industry at the same time.
As one of the ambassadors, Gutierrez assures the public that he will do his best to promote awareness about the advocacy. He is confident that his influence as an actor and as an environmentalist would surely reach the common Filipino masses.
Gutierrez was present during the Green Water’s (phase 2 of Go Green Philippines project which aims to create marine sanctuaries and preserve coral reefs) launching last 18th of September, 2010 in Shangrila Resort and Spa. The project was launched during the Bijoux Cebu trade show. French environmentalist Adrien Semblat, Ms. Earth 2008 Karla Henry, and model Isabella Daza, are the other three Go Green Ambassadors.
Governor Gwen Garcia Graces Bijoux Cebu
Gwendolyn Garcia, Cebu’s fiesty governor, graced the recently held Bijoux Cebu Trade and Fashion Show last 18th of September, 2010 in Mactan’s Shangrila Resort and Spa. The Cebu Provincial and City Governments is one of the supporter of the Green Water’s program launched by the Fashion Accessories Manufacturers and Exporters Foundation Philippines (FAME Foundation).
Bijoux Cebu or Jewelry Cebu featured the island’s exporters’ Spring-Summer 2011 Collections, with a theme that revolves around nature’s 4 basic elements of earth, wind, fire, and water.
For this year, Bijoux Cebu is targeting 200 buyers, with exhibitions numbering almost 40. This is about half of all the member exporters of FAME foundation.
Zeny Uy, Bijoux Cebu’s chairman, said that their products are normally not available to local markets but for that event, they opened their doors to the Cebuanos, so that they can also see appreciate the products of Cebu.
